During the 70s and early 80s I did a lot of sketches but my note pad was a 4 track reel to reel, two EML mono synths, their
101 and Electrocomp 500, an Arp Sequencer and Realistic reverb, and tape echo.
With the advent of Midi and digital sequencing, the infamous Roland TR808 things began to get more automated.
But home computers and the internet where still a ways off. Different story today : )
